Darrell Bock este unul dintre teologii care se opun fățiș teoriilor criticii textuale care îl au ca autor pe Barth D. Ehrman. Acesta din urmă a fost tradus inclusiv în limba română dar, în mod surprinzător, nu s-a bucurat de popularitatea de peste ocean. În parte cred că asta s-a întâmplat și datorită mediului oarecum ermetic față de teoriile apărute cu precădere acolo. Vezi de asemenea și teoriile legate de dispensaționalism, ineranță, etc. ce nu au reușit să spargă bariera confesională evanghelică.
Despre Darrell Bock, omul care a scris, dacă ar fi să folosesc expresia unui realizator radio, ‘un raft de cărți’ nu știu să aibă în limba română tradusă vreo carte. Asta și pentru că, probabil, mediul evanghelic nu se confruntă cu teoriile care bântuie, așa cum am spus comunitatea evanghelică apuseană. Cu toate acestea, nu este un motiv serios pentru a nu beneficia de o serie de cărți utile.
